Azizov Rufat

Rufat has started his successful technical achievements in 1998, with winning golden in Azerbaijan Chemistry Olympiad and bronze medal in the International Mendeleyev’s Chemistry Olympiads in the same year. Accordingly, he was accepted to study in the Moscow State University after Lomonosov (MSU, Russia).

When Rufat successfully completed his BS and MS degrees, he was invited to continue as a PhD student in same time, and was awarded by presidential scholarship of Azerbaijani Republic.

Rufat’s PhD majors are catalysis and biotechnology in the Chemistry Dept of MSU, which he completed his defend in 2007. And he has 28 published papers in Microbial Induced Corrosion, 20 attended conferences and 1 Patent. Most of his articles published in well known publishers as Elsevier, Nova Science, NACE and Springler.

Rufat Azizov is currently working as Material & Corrosion Engineer for the BP Azerbaijan. His career in BP started as a Corrosion engineer in Central Integrity Management Team in 2005. Rufat is Professional Membership & Charteredship from United Kingdom Institute of Materials, Mining and Minerals (UK Engineering Council) since 2008 as the first Professional Azerbaijani member of IOM3.
