The Caspian Engineers Society holds its fourth engineering camp project. This project is sponsored by BP Exploration (Caspian Sea) Ltd and Qafqaz University. Applications has already started. You can fill the application form here. Please check twice before submitting the form. Deadline for applications is 27th of May.
As informed before Caspian Engineers Society’s “Leadership for Industrial professionals” Training has started. The training is given by Rufat Azizov who is currently CEO at Azeri Metal LLC, Co-founder of Caspian Engineers Society and Professional Member of London Institute of Materials. He is also the first Chartered Material engineer in Azerbaijan. As mentioned before the training consists of 7 modules. The first module “Strategic Planning” was successfully given on the 28th of April 2011, at CES office. Selected attendees were from different national and international companies like Azerbaijan State Oil Company, BP, Azersun, Hydro group, Azeri Metal LLCS and Schlumberger.

Caspian Engineers Society is successfully organizing engineering based technical seminars for university students. The next seminar: “GSM Evolution” organized by CES IT Committe was held at the big lecture hall of Qafqaz University on 22nd of april 2012. The presenter: Rahim Ahmedov works at Azercell Company as senior engineer – ICT / Service network / Operations / Billing and charging data processing and roaming team. Approximately more than 40 students studying at different Azerbaijani universities such as Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Qafqaz University, Khazar University, Baku State University, Azerbaijan Technical University attended the seminar.

Caspian Engineers Society as the first Professional Engineering Society in Azerbaijan is functioning successfully. CES organizes various beneficial projects for students and professionals and one of the most interesting projects is Engineering School. CES has organized a number of Summer and Winter Schools till now and is going to organize the next summer engineering school.
By the way, CES officials therefore met with the rector of Qafqaz University Ahmet Sanic on 14th of April 2012 and it was agreed that CES next Summer Engineering School will be held at Qafqaz University again. The appointment was beneficial enough and a lot of various actions below were discussed:

Caspian Engineers Society as the first professional Engineering Organization in Azerbaijan is moving on giving weekly engineering based seminars to university students.The next seminar about Drilling Engineering Design excellence was given by Elman Mikayilov who got his Ms degree from Heriott Watt University Petroleum Engineering Department and currently works for BP as a Drilling Engineer. Approximately, 60 students from different universities and some professionals attended the seminar which held at Khazar University seminar room on 17th of march 2012.
Since some students attending the seminar were from other professions,the presenter firstly showed a video describing basic drilling processes in order to give them brief knowledge about drilling an oil well.

On Sunday 11th of March Caspian Engineers Society organized its next seminar at Khazar University. The seminar was about LWD Resistivity and presented by Anar Abdulkarim who works as Log Analyst Petrophysicist for Halliburton Company. Approximately, 50 students form different universities such as Azerbaijan Technical University, Qafqaz University, Baku State University, Khazar University and etc. attended in this seminar.

Caspian Engineers Society congratulates all its members and also engineers who represent various engineering areas on the holiday of Novruz.
The “Novruz holiday” party is arranged on 18 of March 14:00-19:00 at CES office (near to Nerimanov metrostation) which is only for CES members.
Caspian Engineers Society is continuing its tradition of preparing professional Engineers for Azerbaijan and making network of Engineers. Mentorship Program organized as a part of this tradition has gained wide recognition among students. As the result of last month selection 50 Students studying at various Azerbaijani universities are selected for the 2012 Mentorship Program.

After a month’s of break Caspian Engineers Society (CES) has started providing university students with engineering based seminars. The first seminar of this term which held at Qafqaz University was organized by CES Information Technologies Committee on the 3rd of march 2012. Approximately 50 students from various universities such as Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Qafqaz University, Khazar University, Baku State University, Azerbaijan Technical University attended the software testing seminar which was presented by Javid Kerimov who works for Azercell company as a software testing specialist. He got his Bacheolar degree from Azerbaijan State Oil Academy – Automation of Control Systems and master from ASOA and Georgia University – Computer Information Systems.
