2012 Mentorship Program Launches!

CES 2012 Mentorship ProgramCES continues providing mentoring to university students in 2012! Target of this program is to guide students in their educational and career life and help them to find out the best roadmap. Students can discuss and seek help and get advice for any arising questions related to their education. For 2012, we have accepted 50 students from 9 universities including METU, ASOA, Khazar, BDU, ATU, Qafqaz, MDU, PADIA and National Aviation Academy. We have divided students into 7 disciplines and 15 mentors will help students throughout. There will be an introductory meeting in March  (date and venue will be announced separately).

Rink & Mafia game – The next social activity organized by CES

CES Rink Social ActivityOn Saturday 18th of February Social Activity Committee of Caspian Engineers Society (CES) organized its next activity. As you know, only CES members can participate in social activities. Approximately, 15 members attended in this organized activity. The activity consisted of gliding on rink and playing Mafia game. Firstly, as planned, attendees were in ice lounge. They glided on the rink. While gliding, it happened many funny moments, like participants’ falling on the ice. As usual, the photos are also taken.

CES 2012 Structural Meeting

CES - 2012 Structural MeetingOn 12th of February 2012 Caspian Engineers Society(CES) held a meeting at Caspian Plaza Conference room. The whole staff of CES attended the meeting. The first speech was about the objectives and aims of conference was presented by newly elected CEO Lachin Alakbarov. Firstly he gave brief summary of the new structure of CES after his election. Mr Alakbarov then went through the CES new strategy, targets and 2012 annual plan.

First vice chairman Zamin Aliyev as a leader of business development and Finance department emphasized the importance of that department to the improvement and further development of CES. As per his speech as the budget made from annual membership payments and donations increases CES voluntary student workers will be paid which would positively influence their performance.

CEO meeting with CES Department heads

CES CEO - Lachin Alakhbarov21st January 2012, CES department heads hold a meeting. CEO in his speech explained new CES structure, and how the interrelations will be achieved to ensure success of the organization. Each department head is been informed with the duties, roles and responsibilities. Role of executive assistants and personal assistants become clear. During the meeting 2012 plans discussed in high level, concerns or supports highlighted. The meeting was very productive. It is also agreed that soon CEO to hold a meeting with all the people who is in CES structure and explain 2012 plans.

Successfully held “How must be successful website for companies?” seminar by Samir Yehyazade

CES Seminar by Samir  YehyazadeOn Saturday 3rd of December IT&Computer Engineering Committee of Caspian Engineers Society organized its next seminar. The seminar was about successful websites for companies and was held at Qafqaz University. More than 50 students from different universities such as Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Khazar University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Baku State University, Qafqaz University and professionals attended this seminar. Samir Yehyazade who works as IT manager for SIA was the presenter of the seminar.

Successfully held "Web CMS" seminar by Zeynal ZeynalovOn Saturday 26th of November Caspian Engineers Society IT Commite organized its next seminar about CMS( Content Management System). The seminar was held at Qafqaz University. 42 students from different universities such as Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Khazar University, Azerbaijn Technical University, Baku State University, Qafqaz University and professionals attended at the seminar. The CES Istanbul Introduction Forum

The CES Istanbul Introduction ForumThe CES Istanbul Introduction forum took place in Sheratorn Hotel, in 18th November 2011. More than 40 engineering students from various universities i.e.Yildiz Technical University, Istanbul Technical University, Fatih University, Istanbul University, and etc. attended to the ceremonoy. The main aim of the forum was to present the CES to students and develop CES network in Istanbul among students and engineers. It’s been agreed that these meetings to be arranged in frequent basis.

The CES Seminar by Tural AhmadliOn Saturday, 5th of November “Principles of Casing Design for Platform and Subsea Wells (Advanced)” seminar was held by CES at Khazar University. The presenter was Tural Ahmadli who woks for Statoil as a drilling engineer. Approximately 50 students from different local universities, such as, Azerbaijan State Oil Academy, Qafqaz University, Khazar University, Azerbaijan Technical University, Baku State University and etc., also engineers from companies like SOCAR, BP, Halliburton, etc. participated in this seminar.

Successfully held The CES “Subsea Well Completion Training Workshop” at Cameron.

The CES Subsea Workshop at CameronOn 25 and 27 october 2011 Caspian Engineers Society within BP, organized a training “Subsea
Well Completion Training Workshop” at Cameron.
22 students form different universities -
Azerbaijan State Oil Academy,Khazar University,Baku State Univversity,Azerbaijan Technical
University and Middle East Technical University participated at the workshop. The selection
based on the cv they sent.
